Unbeatable light output, high brightness distance, state-of-the-art electronics, integrated battery, low weight and very extensive ribbing make the SOLC Scorpion the most powerful compact flashlight that has no competition at present. Most people think that such a performance is not needed. However, thanks to the huge power combined with other advantages, the SOLC i lamps have the highest efficiency of 220lm / W and therefore they have 2x longer battery life than the 1-3 LED lamps. The first generation of the SOLC Scorpion was introduced in 2010 with an output of 4500 lumens, which was a tremendous performance. The strongest flashlight at this time was the Lupine Betty with an output of 1800 lumen. Since then, many improvements have been made, and the total weight has been reduced from 350g to just 165g for the current generation in the left. This third generation brings the most radical changes and allows three more shorter versions. If you buy a SOLC flashlight, you can be sure it will be the most powerful flashlight in the world for many years, because even the 6-year-old version of the 2013 Scorpion with 6750 lumens overcomes even the most powerful flashlights of today.


Maximum use of space

The biggest change is the complete remodeling of the inner part of the lamp, which is completely different from the other lamps. In classic flashlights, there is a large LED driver, buttons, cable inlet and holder mount inside the flashlight. The new Scropion brings a revolutionary integrated solution. All components have been reduced many times thanks to state-of-the-art electronics, which will remain unmatched over the years. Thanks to it and state-of-the-art technologies, a space has been created inside the flashlight to accommodate a small integrated battery. This idea has become an excellent feature over time, and the interior space was continued to larger.

Now Scorpion with the same dimensions has a large battery 3x2040mAh (23Wh), which can shine hours with the output of hundreds of lumens. The T-47 version of the lamp with 3x1500mAh (17Wh) is also suitable as an extremely powerful headlamp. If you want an ultra-light and flat solution with extreme performance, please choose version T-23. The maximum power of 95W 12000 lumens is cooling-intensive in this body, but the efficiency remains. If you require a light with maximum perfect cooling, choose the version T-44.


Ultralight ribbed monoblock

The flashlight is machined from one piece of durable light alloy completely manufactured in the Czech Republic. Thus, the heat from the LED is distributed directly to the 15 systemically spaced very deep ribs demanding for production. No other flashlight has such a massive ribbing. Ultralight lights have been achieved thanks to several years of optimized construction, perfect design eliminating excess material “pockets” and subsequent precision machining.

The ribs on the flashlight are circular in shape, allowing zero air flow from underneath and maximum cooling when zero movement. Any movement of the head in place directly blows through the ribs. While moving forward, the ribs are in the opposite direction, but a strong turbulent flow begins to emerge around the headlamp and the ribs are cooled very well. At the same time, night humidity exceeding 75% cools the vast fin surface. This phenomenon is particularly pronounced in caves where the temperature is low and humidity is nearly 100%. According to customer references, the maximum output of 12,000 lumens is permanently stable during movement. Longest version of the Scropion was tested in caves. Drop of water or splashing water helped to achieve this result.


Perfect control

The rotary knob - respectively the rotary pulse encoder as on the car radio - is used for a simple and fast control of the light. If you wanth to turn on the light, then you must press and hold the knob. The 12 red LEDs light up one after the other and the light turns on. Rotation allows you to select 6 basic modes. Press of the knob switch to 10% mode and return to previous mode when pressed again. This works as the easiest and fastest switching between the two modes and can be perfectly used for fast mute from 100% to 10% and back or for switching between 1% and 10% etc.

Since the first 1% mode is also quite strong, it is possible to switch to ECO or SUPERECO mode. To select this, turn of knob for 5 or 10 pulses to the left at the lowest mode. STROBE is quickly accessible by another 10x clockwise rotation at 100% mode.

Gold plated metal IP68 connector

The SOLC lights are equipped with a high-end metal screw-in waterproof connector with 4 gold plated pins. It is designed for currents of 10 amperes and outputs of up to 250 watts, while its dimensions are very small. No other lights do not have these a high-quality robust connector. The connector complies with IP68 standard with 2m immersion tests for 2 weeks. In one set of the flashlight are 5 these connectors. Only one similar connector costs thens dollars. The prices of these connectors often exceed the manufacturing costs of other lamps. Even with the most expensive lamps in the world you can not find such a connector by far.


This connector is the same for all SOLC lights, allowing the complete versatility of using different SOLC batteries. There connectors are built-in on the flashlight and batterypack and the connecting cable is between them. This solution is absolutely indestructible. Any malfunctioning cable can be replaced. The interconnecting cable is made of PUR military material, which does not lose flexibility even at -40 ° C.


GOPRO mounth

Shorter versions of Scorpion are suitable for all types of holders. The version of the Scorpion T-47 weighs 117g but with an internal battery it is 195g, which can be a lot for someone. But for example, LUPINE Betty has 150 grams.


Center of gravity

The lights are designed so that the center of gravity of the light is directed directly to the center of the mount. All the forces acting on the light in the terrain do not tend to rotate the light. Thanks to this concept, the holder is less stressed and the light is thus stable even in difficult terrain and does not shake.
